Being creative or just talking about it

Over the past 6 months to a year I have been talking with Mark Ryan off and on about being creative. We have a ton of projects that we want to do and that we have been talking about. The thing is we have been talking about them… We get together to start planning the projects and then for several reasons we never get around to getting them done.

To this day, I think we have only completed 2 projects. This is not a rant about not getting things done. It is more about staying creative. An old friend said all the time “Don’t sing it, bring it”. I want to bring it that’s for sure.

Mark Ryan is the worship leader at the edge. We have been talking about taking some new photos of him for a while. We finally got around to getting it done. Well, the first of a few different shoots we want to get done over the next several months.

There is something I really love about outtakes. They show the type of person someone is. These photos are of the edge staff. I have done photos for them a few times now and always have a blast working with them.

I was blessed in 2009 with all the photo shoots I was able to do. I was going through some of the archives and I decided that the shoot I worked with Paul Wilkes was probably one of my favorites. I talked with Paul about the shoot and we came up with the concepts and it was my main job on the shoot to take care of the lighting. We got to the location and got all set up and did some test shots. Paul brought in a 42 inch TV that he wanted to shoot to. That was pretty cool because I have only tethered to a small 15 in Mac.

Happy Anniversary Destiny. Thank you for your support, comfort, love, laughter, and friendship. We had some hard things to deal with in 2009. I am glad we were side by side in all of it. We will be stronger because of it. The friend we lost changed everything about our life but I KNOW we will get through it. I love you.
